ABSTRACT’ This project is aimed at design and developing of a Library Management information System. The MU library been used as a case study. This system can be used to borrower books, search for books, reserve books, find out who is having a particular book etc. This is one integrated system. that contains both the administrator’s component and the librarian component. There are features like report etc in this system. The methodology used was system development life cycle which included investigation of the current system, analysis of user requirements, desi~ of the new system, coding and testing of both units and integrated system. The data in this study report was collected by use of various methods namely; interview, document analysis and observation, The data obtai.ned was analyzed using various tools like flowcharts, data flow diagrams and entity relationship diagrams. The data needed in running of the system was stored in tables which formed the database. we have displayed database using Mysql ,PFIP, and dreamweaver.
